The Native 5 is one of Spyderco’s all-time great designs, now made even better with lightweight Fibreglass Reinforced Nylon (FRN) handles and superior CPM-SPY27 stainless steel. The leaf shaped blade of the Native 5 features a full flat grind (preferred by many for its slicing performance) and a full length swedge to aid in cutting efficiency by reducing drag during use. It opens easily thanks to Spyderco’s Trademark Round Hole, and a strong back lock keeps it secure during use. Bi-directional texturing provides all the grip you need, even in wet or grimy environments. Thanks to jimping and an integrated finger choil that extends usable handle length, the user can choke up on the blade for fine control of the Native’s acute point. A four-position stainless steel clip, allowing for a multitude of carry options completes this lightweight Spyderco Native 5.

Spyderco in close cooperation with Crucible Industries have developed CPM-SPY27 – a particle metallurgy stainless steel containing a proprietary mix of alloys, including vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, nitrogen, and cobalt. This remarkable composition, enhanced by the amplifying effects of cobalt and the state-of-the-art Crucible Particle Metallurgy process, is produced exclusively for Spyderco and will be featured in select USA-made models. Every knife made with this steel will also have a distinctive cobalt-blue handle colour that highlights its elite pedigree.
