The Animalia range of #08 stainless steel folding knives feature an 8.5cm knife blade and oak wood handle that has been laser engraved with an image of an animal in nature.
Each knife is fitted with the Virobloc safety ring, which allows users to lock the blade when open (safety in use) and closed (safety in transport).
The blades are made from Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel which is corrosion-resistant, doesn’t require any particular maintenance and provides excellent cutting quality.

Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from the N° 06. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).
