Blade: Presented in a powerful Hawkbill profile, the hollow ‘saber’ ground and satin finished H1 Stainless steel blade is perfect for aggressive slicing and piercing. With a fully serrated blade the increase of cutting edge surface is up 24%, making short work of touch and hard materials while still being able to clean slice. Thumb and finger choils provide enhanced control and ergonomic grip overall. The spine of the blade contains a swedge that tapers to a fine point for piercing work. Like other Sypderco Knives’s the Round Hole is ambidextrous for a smooth, easy and one hand operation.
Handle: These handles are durable, lightweight and have contoured edges for comfort and traction due to the Bi-Directional texturing. Made of H1, the liner-less handles are ergonomic in design which a perfect pinky finger shelf as-well as an index choil which combined; is the perfect leverage in this compact package. There is a sturdy mid-back lock design for a solid lock up and reliable security. Boy Dent is included which prevents accidental disengagement of the lock when pressure is present. Easy lanyard attachment is also present.
H1 is a low-carbon, high-nitrogen, work hardening “steel” that is, for all practical purposes, resistant to rust. It has an attainable Rockwell hardness in the high 60s (especially when serrated) while still maintaining durability.
