This Penguin model features a Jade G10 handle, complimented with a sheepsfoot shaped black-stonewash D2 blade. This knife fits the needs of an every day knife, while being extremely aesthetically pleasing, and comfortable in the user’s hand. With a D2 steel blade, perfect toughness and a decent edge holding performs reliably and smoothly. Equipped with a deep carry pocket clip this knife can slide in and out of your pocket easily, highlighting its small and lightweight frame. The Penguin opens using dual thumb studs accompanied by the copper washers which is then able to be locked into place for confident performance with the liner lock system.

I purchased the QSP Penguin D2 Blackwash Blade and Jade Scales. Customer experience and service from Knife Depot was top notch. The knife came within the week. I was very impressed with the look and feel of the Penguin. I intended to dye the scales but the Jade looks so cool with the Blackwash that I have decided to leave them as is – great contrast between scales and Blackwash.
Initially the action was stiff and my thumb a little sore from the thumb studs. But, with some flicking and fidgeting with the knife, it’s now smooth as butter and my thumb is all smiles. This is a great everyday carry and an excellent cutter and package opener.
