This lightweight knife features a high-quality 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blades with excellent cutting ability and edge retention. The knife has an incredibly smooth, almost frictionless opening and closing action, facilitated by two opposing roller bearings containing a total of 18 ball bearings. Having been a Spyderco fan for a very long time I was apprehensive purchasing the Honey Badger….. but when it arrived, that all changed!
The action of the knife when you flip it open is a little stiff at first but then it’s smooth and all so quick! The deep carry EDC clip keeps it inside of your pockets and very well secured.
Closed or Opened, the knife is very well balanced and the blade arrives very well honed.
The grip itself is quite sturdy and the only drawback I found was that the smoother leading edges of the grip that aren’t knurled, have a slippery feeling to them. Not like you’re going to drop it, but you just know to adjust your grip the the knurl.
Overall I was very impressed with this knife and I commend Honey Badger for manufacturing the knife in South Africa.
